Bop Control is an Online Application that enables you to change the text and image content of you website simply and easily within minutes. The process of changing content just takes 3 simple stages:
[1] ~ Select the required page
[2] ~ Make Changes
[3] ~ Publish the page
Why can’t I load the BopControl page editor?
In order to run the Online Application it is required that you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 5 or above. To ensure you are running the latest version please visit Microsoft’s Update page: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Why does BopControl ask me to re-login occasionally?
If BopControl is left unattended for a period of time then as a security measure the system will require you to re-login. It is advisable if you are using a shared machine that you Log-Out of the control panel before leaving the Computer unattended.
Do I have to Log-Out?
It is advisable to Log-Out of BopControl by selecting Log-Out from the |HOME| section of the website. This closes your visit to BopControl and will not allow anyone else using your Computer to access your Website.
IF I change ISP can I still use BopControl
Absolutely, BopControl is unique in the way it can be used with any ISP anywhere in the world. The only requirement is that the FTP details are setup to access your new ISP.
Why do my pages not publish?
The primary reason for this occurring is that the FTP details have been altered. Firstly, check and ensure the details are correct is the ‘Edit FTP Details’ section. If these are all present and correct then email support@BopControl.co.uk
What is the FTP Directory
The FTP directory defines where the webpage is to be published to once you select the ‘Publish Page’. Typically this is either a directory called /www or /htdocs. If you are having problems with this please consult your ISP
What is Bop Restore?
This option is only to be used if you have had problems with the BopControl editor and have deleted content accidentally. The BopRestore section will re-instate a selected page to its original form when BopControl was first installed.
How do I get help on the Bop Control Editor
On the editor page there is a [HELP] icon located at the top right corner of the page. This will bring up informative information about the editor, how its functions work and what icons do what.
Can I have more than 1 login Username/Password?
